"The Heart
of the Nimpkish Valley"

During your travels on Northern Vancouver Island visit the
intriguing little community of Woss - B.C.’s newest hamlet
- situated in the heart of the beautiful Nimpkish Valley.
|
The
residents greet visitors with their Warm Woss Welcome while
the Woss area itself with it’s pristine lakes, raging rivers
and mountainous snow capped peaks offers a vast selection
of outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, camping,
skiing (snow & water), boating, hiking, caving, and your
basic R&R (rest and relaxation).
|
For those travelers, with nature at heart, the wildlife is
plentiful and the scenery is extremely picturesque. Tourists
and train buffs alike enjoy visiting the home of the historic
113 Steam Locomotive, used for many by the logging company,
Canfor who operate throughout the Nimpkish Valley. Canfor
maintains the logging roads, which allow access to many areas
in which visitors will enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of
the very special Nimpkish Valley.
|
The community of Woss has accommodation available at the Rugged
Mountain Inn with great dining and entertainment at the Lucky
Logger Pub. The Woss General Store and gas bar houses the
local Post Office, Liquor Store, the Kawasa Café and a variety
of groceries, household products, camping supplies, etc.
