Fitzwilliam Hotel, Belfast

The Fitzwilliam Hotel, Belfast, has been awarded a five-star rating under the Tourism NI accommodation grading scheme.

The accreditation for the hotel on Great Victoria Street is bestowed at an exciting time following its recent investment and completion of £2million refurbishments and approval on planning permission for a £6million extension to meet the continuing rise in visitors seeking luxury accommodation in the city.

The refurbishments, carried out by award winning design firm Project Orange, have transformed the lobby and current bedrooms and facilities with new sumptuous, art deco inspired colour palettes and furnishings.

The extension, which will begin in 2017 and includes plans for 30 additional bedrooms, a gym and luxury spa for guests, an extravagant roof-top terrace offering views over the city as well as an upgrade of the main entrance and relocated conference and admin facilities.

Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel & Lodges, Enniskillen

Belfast International Airport

From July 2017 Norwegian Air will operate a new low-cost service between Belfast and the United State of America, with three flights a-week to Stewart International Airport in Orange County, New York and two flights a-week to Green Airport, Providence, which is a just ninety minutes away from Boston. The Boston flight will operate over the summer months.  If the flights are a success Norwegian Air will bring on more flights.  The flights will start from £69.00 making them affordable for all.


In April 2017 announced its planned network expansion at Belfast International Airport for the summer 2018 season, with the launch of eight new routes. Six of the eight routes are to previously unserved markets. The new routes will be as follows:

Antalya (Turkey) - Belfast 
Funchal (Maderia) - Belfast
Irakleion (Crete) - Belfast
Malta - Belfast
Naples (Itlay) - Belfast
Paphos (Cyprus) - Belfast
Rhodes (Greece) – Belfast
