Accommodation Occupancy

The latest annual and monthly Northern Ireland hotel and guest house/guest accommodation/ B&B occupancy and sales figures. The latest annual self-catering occupancy and sales figures for Northern Ireland. Monthly United Kingdom Occupancy Survey Reports which incorporate results from surveys of serviced accommodation occupancy undertaken by each of the four national tourist boards in the UK.

Overall 171,000 rooms were sold in Hotels, Guesthouses, Guest Accommodation and B&Bs during February 2018, an increase of 4% on February 2017.

February hotel occupancy remained reasonably consistent with the strong levels achieved in February 2017.  Rooms and bed-spaces sold increased by 6% and 1% respectively.

Guesthouse/Guest Accommodation/B&Bs experienced decreases in both occupancy and sales during February 2018.  While February 2018 figures haven’t be able to match those achieved during February 2017, figures are still above those recorded for February 2016.

The self-catering sector annual unit occupancy for 2016 was 36%. There were 36,500 weeks sold during 2016, an increase of 12%. Please click here for more detailed information from NISRA.
