Volunteer Now is working in partnership with Tourism NI to support the development of volunteering at international and national events across NI. To help you prepare for next year’s event (s), Volunteer Now would like to invite you to attend our next masterclass – Building a Volunteer Strategy for Events.
This masterclass takes participants through the key questions around developing and rolling out a volunteer strategy and explores how you can make a strategy be a living document that drives volunteering forward within your event.
This session will cover:
- What is a volunteer strategy and why do you need one
- How to plan for volunteer involvement
- How to develop a volunteer recruitment plan
- How to attract and select the right volunteers
- How to support and manage occasional volunteers effectively
Certificate of Attendance is awarded at the end of this masterclass. Refreshments will be provided.

Involving Volunteers at Events Online survey
As your event(s) involves volunteers or may wish to do so in the future, this questionnaire offers you the opportunity to review your volunteer programme. This volunteer management needs assessment will help identify what you are doing well when it comes to involving volunteers at your event(s) and highlight what areas could be improved.
Your response to these questions will help Volunteer Now and Tourism NI to shape the type and format of support and training we offer. Therefore we ask you to take time over the survey and answer the questions as accurately as possible. In most cases the questions require tick box answers only. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete the survey.
