Royal Portrush staged The 153rd Open in 2025 providing another outstanding showcase for golf in Northern Ireland.
The prestigious championship returned to Royal Portrush from 13th-20th July 2025, with 278,000 golf fans descending on the North Coast over the week of the Championship.
Images from Royal Portrush were beamed around the world to around 100 million viewers in over 190 counties with Northern Ireland’s world class golf and tourism offering taking centre stage.
It is estimated that the economic and media benefit from hosting the major will exceed £213 million.
