HATS - Skills Sessions

HATs Guide

The Hospitality and Tourism Skills (HATS) network worked partnership with Tourism NI to deliver a number of bite-sized virtual information sessions on skills support to help hospitality and tourism businesses retain talent through this difficult time and develop the skills needed for the future.  These sessions were designed to bring to life the Hospitality Tourism Skills Funding Guide – click here to access the full guide.

As the industry builds back from the disruption caused by Covid-19 we need to inspire future generations to enter the industry – and those that are already in the industry, to stay. This is your opportunity to invest in your talent to emerge stronger from the crisis and help your business flourish.

Building back with a better skilled workforce, whose attributes and behaviours are valued and nurtured will provide the much-needed reinforcement to deliver a tourism product that attracts visitors and encourages repeat business.

These sessions looked at Funded Skills Support from Ulster University, Invest Northern Ireland, FE Colleges and Apprecticeships. We also offered a session that looked at a free Workplace Health and Wellbeing Support Programme, funded by the Public Health Agency.
