The Core of the Visitor experience, and consideration needs to be carefully given to the aspects listed below. Questions below will determine what thinking/decisions need to be made which will formulate the Visitor Experience and ultimately the success of the Attraction.
8.1 Budget/targets agreed/team ownership
- Who is responsible for What?
- How should we communicate targets?
- How should we celebrate success?
8.2 Delivery of the Visitor Experience/Delivery of the content
- Which elements of the Visitor Experience need a Standard Operating Procedure?
- What does good look like?
- Writing SOPs & ensuring they are in the training plan/package of support
- How do we measure success? (Visitor metrics – e.g. AVIUS scores/Trip advisor
- How do we recognise good practice?
- How do we celebrate success?
- What tools do we need to deliver Operational Excellence?
Such conversations and planning need to incorporate the:
- Training
- Rota planning
- Staffing detail/SOPs/SLAs etc
