ANDSEP Programme - Embracing the opportunities with social value

This workshop was delivered as part of the 'Ards and North Down Social Enterprise Programme (ANDSEP). The 'ANDSEP' workshops are aimed at those who are currently leading or working in a social enterprise or those exploring a social enterprise business model.

Workshop Overview

Understanding what social value procurement is and the opportunities it presents is key to the longer term sustainability of an organisation. In addition, measuring social impact is crucial to understanding if your organisation is making a real difference to society and the lives of your users and beneficiaries.

This workshop provided an introduction to social value procurement and how you can maximise the opportunities it presents and find out more about the tools available to measure and demonstrate the social impact of your activities. It covered the following:

  • What is social value procurement and what is the opportunity for us?
  • Why impact measurement is increasingly important
  • The tools for impact measurement including developing a clear Logic Model
  • How to communicate social impact.

Who should attend?

The workshops are aimed at those who are currently leading or working in a social enterprise or those exploring a social enterprise business model.

What was covered?

All workshops where delivered in an informal environment and was aimed at supporting current and aspiring social enterprises with the development of their business. There was the opportunity to meet and network with other social enterprises and hear first-hand from social entrepreneurs in the borough.

All workshops are fully funded by Ards and North Down Borough Council.
