AVEA Annual Conference 2022
The 2022 Annual Conference of AVEA, the Association of Visitor Experiences & Attractions, will take place in Wexford Town on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th October.
The theme of the AVEA Conference 2022 is 'Our People - Our Future.'
The Conference will be opened by Catherine Martin TD, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
AVEA Conference MC is esteemed journalist and broadcaster Olivia O'Leary, with special guest Dr Paul Redmond as our Keynote Speaker.
The Conference will be an engaging and vibrant dialogue on the importance of people in the business of the visitor experiences and attractions (VEA) sector.
Day 1 will include:
- Leaders in tourism from Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Ireland, Tourism Northern Ireland, and Wexford County Council.
- Look at how AVEA members seek to rebuild and reinvigorate AVEA precious asset, AVEA staff, after a challenging pandemic period.
- Shine a spotlight on some of the people who do unusual jobs in extraordinary settings around Ireland.
- Discuss in detail what's next for careers and education in generating a healthy channel of talent into our industry.
Day 2 will include:
Four breakout sessions for you to choose from. It is recommended if multiple people are attending from your organisation, that you each choose a different option. The four options are:
- Learning Journey - Irish National Heritage Park
- Learning Journey - Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum and Gardens
- Learning Journey - Sites and sounds: a guided walking tour of Wexford Town
- Learning Journey - What's the best way to tell your story?
