Getting started: Developing a business idea
This workshop will be facilitated by Katie Matthews-Furphy, Founder of The Mind Tribe UK on behalf of Belfast City Council, as part of the newly developed Inclusive Enterprise Pathway programme.
This free workshop will explore the steps required for finding and developing a business idea and answer the big question - where do you even start? Attendees will also learn the definition of concept testing and explore examples of concept testing and development.
This 60 minute workshop will be delivered virtually via Zoom.
To take part in this workshop, individuals must:
- Live in Belfast City Council Area (Northern Ireland)
- be aged 18 years old or over
We particularly encourage individuals from groups which are historically under-represented, under-supported and under-funded in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship including:
- individuals who identify as Women or Non-Binary
- individuals who experience Disability
- individuals from Ethnic Minority/Global majority communities/backgrounds
- individuals who are Neurodivergent
What would be helpful to have?
- Basic conversational and written English Language skills
- Access to a digital device with internet access
- Willingness to learn
What do you NOT need?
- Any qualifications
- Any financial investment
- A business idea
