Hosted by local musical comedian Emer Maguire, this event is being delivered in partnership with Derry City & Strabane District Council and Visit Derry as part of our ongoing Business Support Programme.
On the day we will be showcasing the Tourism NI Inclusive & Accessible Tourism toolkit and highlighting a range of supports available, alongside an update on Derry~Londonderry investments and local case studies.
Why should you attend?
Adopting an inclusive approach can have practical benefits for tourism businesses. Did you know that:
- The spending power of disabled people and their households represents a major economic opportunity, yet many businesses are still missing out due to accessibility barriers. Addressing these barriers can unlock significant revenue, improve customer loyalty, and support inclusive growth.
- Providing better access means that your business is more welcoming to everyone.
- Enabling customers of all ages and abilities to access your services will widen your customer base.
- Accessible business often creates loyal, lifelong customers. People stick with businesses that they trust and know will work for them every time, and this is particularly true for customers with a disability.
- We are all getting older and so the market and need for accessible services and products will only grow in the future.
Who should attend?
This event is open to all tourism and hospitality businesses, from across Northern Ireland, who would like to improve the accessibility and inclusivity of the services and experiences they are offering to their visitors.
