Northern Ireland ITOA Workshop 2023

Tourism NI’s Business Solutions team have once again collaborated with the Incoming Tour Operators Association of Ireland (ITOA) to deliver the ITOA Workshop on 15th November 2023 in Armagh.

The workshop itself will take place in Armagh City Hotel where over 80 Northern Ireland tourism businesses will take part in 1:1 meetings with 70 ITOA members.  Alongside this, the operators will experience some of the fantastic tourism products and hospitality on offer in the region by attending showcase events at the magnificent Archbishops Palace and Longmeadow Cider.  

The workshop is a significant event in the calendar of the Northern Ireland Tourism Industry presenting many opportunities to network and grow their business from international markets. ITOA Members include many of the major Tours Operators on the Island of Ireland. In 2023 ITOA members delivered 537,000 overseas holiday and business tourism visitors to the island of Ireland, generating €483 Million to the economy, Northern Ireland accounted for 10% of this business distribution. 

The Business Solutions Team will deliver the 2023 ITOA workshop on 14th and 15th November in Armagh for the first time.  The workshop will take place at Armagh City Hotel and will see almost 70 individuals representing 36 ITOA member organisations.  They will have a full day of sales appointments with over 80 key representatives from the NI industry.

The evening before the workshop, the operators will have dinner in the  magnificent  Archbishops Place and will be joined by the Lord Mayor and senior members of Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Council.

Once the workshop concludes, the operators will have the opportunity to visit the new Bramley Barn at the nearby Long Meadow Cider for an informal evening of local food & drink, music and entertainment.

The following morning, many of the operators will take part in one of two fam trips and hae the opportunity to visit some of the key tourism experiences in and around Armagh and also into the Newy & Mourne region.

IMEX America 2023

Tourism NI joined industry partners recently at IMEX America.

The team were promoting Northern Ireland as a world-class meeting, incentive, conference, and events destination. IMEX America is a key show in the business tourism calendar, and the largest in North America bringing together global meeting, event and incentive professionals to do business. The show was attended by approximately 5,000 buyers and was an opportunity for 4 of Northern Ireland’s industry to showcase the luxurious hotels, unique venues and exceptional experiences on offer to meeting and event planners from around the world.
