Belfast Met is offering FREE places, on a number of accredited short courses and academy style programmes.

These courses have been designed to provide additional upskilling and reskilling opportunities, focused on supporting individuals who ordinarily would not have applied for one of the courses, to engage in learning and improve the skills profile of our local workforce.

Level 2 Award

Principles of Customer Service in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism - Get into Bartending

Get into Hospitality is a FREE two-day course aimed at anyone seeking a full time or part time career in Hospitality, specialising in bartending.

You will gain a Level 2 qualification in the Principles of Customer service for hospitality and tourism.

In addition you will receive training in the basics of bartending, including how to pour the perfect pint, basic cocktail making, health & safety, preparing the bar for service, the use of correct glassware, an introduction to the keg store, how to change a beer keg and spirit optic, general legislation and specific customer care pertaining to bartending.

The course will be delivered onsite in industry in the Cathedral Quarter Belfast.

Get into Hospitality is a FREE two-day course aimed at anyone seeking a full time or part time career in Hospitality, specialising in Food Service

You will gain a Level 2 qualification in the Principles of Customer service for hospitality and tourism.

In addition you will receive training in the basics of food service, including taking food and drink orders, service of food and drinks, customer service, making speciality coffees and preparing wine for service, health and safety and hygiene, among other key skills that  will equip you to work in food service.

The course will be delivered onsite in industry in Fratelli Restaurant, Great Victoria Street Belfast

Location: Fratelli Restaurant, 60 Great Victoria Street, Belfast BT2 7BB (currently says Other Premises)
