‘Magical’ lodges overlooking Fairy Hill awarded four stars by Tourism NI
Stunning lodges situated in a picturesque countryside setting overlooking an ancient Fairy Hill in Co Derry have been awarded four stars by Tourism Northern Ireland’s Quality Grading Scheme.

Fairy Tree Lodges in Swatragh offers accommodation with private garden space, hot tub and modern amenities.
The name of the lodges were inspired by the history of the location with a `Guardian Fairy’ and six fairy trees watching over them.
A Tourism NI assessment of the lodges, which are the latest addition to the Friels Hospitality & Heritage Venue, described the personalisation of each of the three lodges to be “superb”.
The private garden space at each unit was found to be “exceptional” with a covered hot tub and outdoor seating meaning the facility can be used all year round and the fairy light finish creating “an attractive space for guests to relax”.
The internal fit-out of the lodges was also described as “excellent” with praise for the finish and décor.
The lodges, located half-way between Belfast and Derry, are situated beside Friels award-winning fifth generation bar, restaurant and visitor centre.
