MyTourismNI Celebrates 500th Learner Milestone
Tourism NI is proud to announce that MyTourismNI, its dedicated e-learning platform for the Northern Ireland tourism industry, has welcomed its 500th learner.

Designed to support the industry in building expertise, knowledge, competence and confidence, MyTourismNI provides free access to a wide range of business-critical learning modules.
Covering topics such as Sales and Marketing, Digital Skills, Sustainability, People Management, Inclusive and Accessible Tourism and Operational Effectiveness, the platform enables tourism and hospitality professionals to learn at a pace that suits them. There are now 150 users now progressing the specific Travel Trade Ready course in preparation for Meet the Buyer later this month.
The milestone reflects the strong appetite across the sector for accessible, industry-specific learning that supports staff development, improves retention, and complements accredited or sector-specific training and education.
Speaking about the platform’s impact and the strong uptake across the industry, Eimear Callaghan, Head of Experiences and Industry Development at Tourism NI said: “Reaching our 500th learner is a significant milestone and demonstrates the tourism and hospitality sector’s commitment to continuous professional development.
“We developed MyTourismNI in direct response to industry feedback, and it is extremely encouraging to see businesses of all sizes embracing the platform as a valuable tool to strengthen skills, improve performance and support long-term growth.
“The flexibility of the modules means teams can build knowledge in a way that works around operational demands, making it a practical and impactful resource for businesses right across Northern Ireland.”
Sandra Willis, Motorhome Routes Ireland, who recently became the 500th learner, shared her experience of using the platform:
“I’ve found the MyTourismNI modules both relevant and easy to engage with. The bite-sized format makes it simple to fit learning into a busy schedule, and the content is clearly tailored to the tourism industry in Northern Ireland.
“I’ve particularly valued the practical insights provided across the modules, and I look forward to continuing my learning journey as new content becomes available.”
Since its launch, learners from across Northern Ireland – including local councils, hotels, tour operators and visitor attractions have embraced the innovative system.
Monthly Top Learner recognitions celebrate individuals who demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development, completing modules and earning digital badges across a range of subject areas.
With new content continually being added, Tourism NI is now looking ahead to its next milestone and its next Top Learner.
Tourism and hospitality professionals across Northern Ireland are encouraged to sign up, explore the course library and begin their learning journey.
