As Canada’s largest travel advisor network, Trevello supports around 1,200 independent travel advisors who work in partnership with over 300 global suppliers, including tour operators, cruise lines and destination management companies.
The conference has drawn 250 delegates to Northern Ireland for a week-long programme which combined educational sessions, networking opportunities, showcase events and familiarisation trips - designed to position the region as a compelling, high‑quality touring destination for the Canadian market.
The conference has also attracted more than 40 international travel trade partners including Air Canada, WestJet Vacations, Royal Caribbean and Virtuoso.
This marks a notable milestone for Trevello, as its conference moves beyond its traditional cruise and resort-based venues, reflecting the north’s growing international reputation and appeal.
Delivered in partnership with Tourism NI, Tourism Ireland and Brendan Vacations, the programme provided an important platform to showcase the very best of Northern Ireland’s tourism offering, with a focus on driving long-term growth from the Canadian market and delivering tangible economic benefits for local tourism businesses.
Following the conference, which coincided with ` Travel Advisor Appreciation Day’, the delegates took part in a series of familiarisation trips, which offered them the opportunity to sample the region’s culture, heritage, landscapes, distinctive food, premium accommodation and authentic experiences.
Such familiarisation trips play a key role in securing future business, supporting the north’s industry and growing the region’s profile on a global platform.
Nikki Paterson, Business Solutions Manager at Tourism NI, said: “We are delighted that Trevello has chosen Northern Ireland to host its flagship conference.
“Working in partnership with Tourism Ireland, Trevello and Brendan Vacations, this programme reflects our commitment to growing the Canadian tourism market by engaging local tourism businesses and immersing influential travel trade partners in the destination first‑hand.”
Zeina Gedeon, CEO of Trevello, said: “Northern Ireland has exceeded expectations as a host destination for our annual conference. From its breathtaking landscapes and rich storytelling heritage to the warmth of its people and the quality of its tourism experiences, this is a destination that resonates strongly with Canadian travellers.
“By bringing our advisors here, we’re not only deepening their product knowledge but also building genuine enthusiasm and confidence to sell Northern Ireland as a must-visit destination. The partnerships we’ve strengthened this week will translate into real, long-term growth for the region.”
