Reimagining Events – Space

The events industry and supply chain has been identified as one of the key sectors affected by this pandemic. In response to this ongoing crisis, Tourism NI has developed a suite of events-specific webinars to support the industry during this survival phase and ongoing towards recovery. Led by events professionals, this webinar series aims to help events prepare for reopening when restrictions allow, increasing skills, developing and diversifying the offer, reaching new audiences and generating new income streams, to support future long-term sustainability.

The series delivered informative and constructive advice covering a range of critical areas for events. This webinar series was aimed at anyone working across the festivals and events industry.

Delivered by Claire Hall, Creative Producer, Urban Scale Interventions, this session looked at how events can shape a place - through story, narrative, information and physical place shaping. It presented inspiring case studies, showcasing where events have reimagined spaces, beyond traditional event settings. It considered use of outdoor spaces, rain and facilities provision, and covid requirements such as social distancing. 

All webinars were facilitated by Lesley Maltman, Owner and Director, The Eventor. Lesley has over 25 years’ experience delivering projects across the events spectrum, including large-scale outdoor music, cultural, arts, food and sporting festivals, conferences, exhibitions and incentive programmes.
