Quality & Standards 

The Quality & Standards team provides face-to-face advice, certification and grading services to providers of visitor accommodation, visitor attractions and experiences. The team’s focus is on achieving a high quality and sustainable offer for visitors. It is responsible for the application of legislation as set out in the Tourism (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 and ensuring that all visitor accommodation meets minimum standards.

Industry Development 

The Industry Development team supports businesses across the sector to be more innovative, competitive, sustainable and inclusive. It monitors and evaluates industry performance and provides tailored supports based on identified areas for improvement and growth.  The team also leads on industry-wide issues including skills, digital performance, and commercial growth.

Experience Development

The Experience Development team works with the industry and key partners across Northern Ireland to drive differentiation, creating and curating clear reasons to choose Northern Ireland. This focuses on priority areas such as Culinary Tourism, Culture & Heritage, Peace Tourism and Outdoor Tourism.

Events 

The Events team is responsible driving an increased positive profile of Northern Ireland and significant tourism benefit by attracting and supporting the delivery of major events to Northern Ireland; as well as developing a portfolio of world-class, homegrown events that support the social and economic contribution of tourism to Northern Ireland.
